DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: WARM WELCOME AT THE AIRPORT (-/-/-)
Upon arrival in Maun, Botswana, you will be warmly greeted by the Kalahari Breeze Safaris team. Explore this charming village, an oasis in the Kalahari Desert and the gateway to southern Africa’s safari adventures. Accommodation will be in a budget-midrange lodge, with upgrades available.
DAY 2: MOKORO DAY TRIP TO THE INNER OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/-)
The day begins early with a pickup from your hotel, lodge, or the airport. A speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence starts your adventure. Meet your poler, a knowledgeable guide born and raised in the Okavango Delta, who will lead you through the serene channels in a traditional mokoro canoe. Enjoy a picnic lunch on an island and take a nature walk to learn about the delta’s flora, fauna, and the local tribes. Return to Maun before sunset.
DAY 3: INTO THE WILD OF MOREMI GAME RESERVE (B/L/D)
Your wild camping safari commences as you head into Moremi Game Reserve in a 4×4 open-sided safari vehicle. Enjoy a full day of game drives with a picnic lunch in the bush. Set up camp in the park, where you’ll have the chance to refresh with a bush shower before a delightful dinner and storytelling around the campfire.
DAY 4: WILDLIFE TRACKING IN MOREMI GAME RESERVE (B/L/D)
An early rise allows for a game drive when predators are most active. Return to camp for brunch and relax until the midday heat subsides before heading out for another game drive. Dinner and evening campfire stories conclude the day.
DAY 5: FROM BUSH TO SAVANNAH (B/L/D)
The camp moves from Moremi to Savute National Park. Enjoy a light breakfast before departing, with a picnic lunch and a brief siesta in the Khwai Concession. Experience the transition from lush bush to savannah, setting up camp in Savute and enjoying a refreshing shower before dinner.
DAY 6: CLOSE-UP WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS IN SAVUTE (B/L/D)
Wake up early for another game drive in search of predators. Afterward, enjoy a bush shower and brunch, then embark on an afternoon game drive. End the day with dinner and storytelling around the campfire.
DAY 7: SAVANNAH TO RIVERFRONT (B/L/-)
Start your morning with a warm “Dumela” greeting, followed by breakfast and a scenic drive to Chobe Riverfront. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route, arriving in Kasane by lunchtime. You will be accommodated in double/twin chalets at a lodge. After checking in, embark on a 3-hour boating safari on the Chobe River.
DAY 8: MOSI OA TUNYA – “THE SMOKE THAT THUNDERS” (B/-/-)
Travel to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The transfer takes approximately 1.5-2 hours, depending on border delays. Accommodation options include bedded tents or chalets, with upgrades available.
DAY 9: ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES AT VICTORIA FALLS (-/-/-)
Start your day with the optional “Boiling Pot Hike,” which offers stunning views of the falls from below. A variety of additional activities are available, such as bungee jumping, canoe trails, and helicopter flights, all at an extra cost.
DAY 10: LIVINGSTONE ISLAND TOUR AND DEVIL’S POOL OR LIVINGSTONE DAY TRIP (-/-/-)
Choose between two options for the day (additional cost applies):
Livingstone Island: Visit this protected area at the edge of Victoria Falls, with limited access for visitors. After a boat cruise, enjoy a meal and a visit to the thrilling Devil’s Pool, available from August to January for the adventurous.
Livingstone Day Trip: Experience a guided tour of Livingstone, including visits to the Mukuni Village, the royal village of the Leya tribe, and the local markets, followed by a craft workshop.
DAY 11: DEPARTURE FROM VICTORIA FALLS OR LIVINGSTONE (-/-/-)
Transfer to the airport in either Livingstone or Victoria Falls, concluding your unforgettable safari adventure.
