DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN GABORONE (-/-/-)
Upon arrival in Gaborone, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation where you can relax and unwind from your journey, preparing for the exciting days ahead.
DAY 2: GABORONE CITY TOUR & KHAMA RHINO SANCTUARY (B/L/D)
Start your day with a guided 3-hour cultural and historical city tour of Gaborone, visiting landmarks like the Three Chiefs Monument, government enclave, Gaborone Main Mall, and Botswana Craft. After lunch, head north to Serowe, where you’ll camp in the bush at Khama Rhino Sanctuary.
DAY 3: KHAMA RHINO SANCTUARY & DIAMOND MUSEUM (B/-/-)
Begin with a sunrise 4×4 safari in Khama Rhino Sanctuary, followed by breakfast. Travel to the Orapa area and visit the Diamond Museum inside a restricted mining zone. Learn about Botswana’s diamond industry and camp overnight nearby.
DAY 4: MAKGADIKGADI NATIONAL PARK GAME DRIVE (B/L/-)
After breakfast, venture into Makgadikgadi National Park for a game drive along the Boteti River. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed amidst the wildlife. From January to April, you may witness the Great Zebra Migration. End the day in Maun, a gateway to the Okavango Delta.
DAY 5: OKAVANGO DELTA DAY TRIP (B/L/-)
Spend the entire day exploring the Okavango Delta. After a speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence, your poler will guide you through the delta’s serene channels in a mokoro (traditional canoe). Enjoy a picnic lunch on an island, followed by a walking safari before returning to Maun in the late afternoon.
DAY 6: MAKGADIKGADI SALT PANS & MEERKAT OVERNIGHT TOUR (B/-/D)
Depart Maun and drive to Gweta for lunch before heading into the vast Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Visit a meerkat colony and observe their charming behaviors up close. Continue exploring the lunar-like landscape of the salt pans before camping overnight under the stars.
DAY 7: ELEPHANT SANDS (B/-/D)
After breakfast, journey to Elephant Sands, a unique location where herds of elephants and other wildlife gather at a waterhole. Spend the afternoon relaxing and watching the animals from an up-close distance.
DAY 8: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK (B/-/-)
Begin your day with an early morning walking safari or game drive at Elephant Sands. After breakfast, travel to Chobe National Park for a 3-hour boat safari along the Chobe River, famed for its large populations of elephants and diverse wildlife.
DAY 9: VICTORIA FALLS “THE SMOKE THAT THUNDERS” (B/-/-)
Start the day with a game drive in Chobe National Park before traveling to Victoria Falls. A guided walking tour will take you through the Victoria Falls Rainforest, offering stunning views of the falls from various angles. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

Your overland adventure concludes with a transfer to the airport for your departure flight. You can choose to depart from Victoria Falls Airport (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone Airport (Zambia).
