DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: WARM WELCOME IN MAUN (-/-/-)
Upon arrival at Maun airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your accommodation (included). Take time to recover from your journey and prepare for the adventure ahead.
DAY 2: IN THE CHANNELS OF THE OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/D)
The day begins early as you are picked up at your hotel, lodge, or the airport in Maun at 07:30. Start with a 1-hour speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence. If conditions require, travel by 4×4 vehicle. At the buffalo fence, meet your poler, who will guide you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. Experience the tranquility of the delta in a mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe. Enjoy lunch at your camp on an island, followed by an afternoon nature walk to learn about the local flora, fauna, and indigenous tribes. Share stories around the campfire after dinner.
DAY 3: ON THE ISLANDS OF THE OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/D)
Immerse yourself in the wilderness as you spend the day exploring the Okavango. Begin with a warm “Dumela” (Setswana for “Hello”) and enjoy a light breakfast. Afterward, choose between a nature walk or a canoe excursion for your first game-viewing activity. Return to camp for a shower and a hearty brunch. In the afternoon, engage in another exciting game-viewing activity. Enjoy delicious meals cooked over a bushfire, sharing your day’s experiences around the fire before drifting off to sleep in your comfortable tent, surrounded by the sounds of the bush.
DAY 4: LEAVING THE OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/-)
Enjoy a final dugout canoe tour and bush walk before returning to Maun. Lunch will be served riverside. Arrive in Maun by sunset, where you’ll stay overnight in a comfortable midrange lodge with en-suite rooms.
DAY 5: INTO THE WILD OF MOREMI GAME RESERVE (B/L/D)
After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge in Maun and driven to Moremi Game Reserve in a 4×4 open-sided safari vehicle. Spend the day on game drives exploring the diverse landscapes of Moremi, including floodplains, waterways, and forests. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before setting up camp for the night. After a bush shower and a delicious dinner, gather around the campfire to share stories from the day.
DAY 6: CLOSE-UP WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS IN MOREMI (B/L/D)
Awake early for a quick breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive, the best time to spot predators. Return to camp for a refreshing bush shower and brunch. In the afternoon, embark on another game drive as the animals become more active in the cooler hours. Dinner will again be served around the campfire, offering a chance to share stories and experiences deep in the bush.
DAY 7: GAME VIEWING IN MOREMI (B/L/-)
Rise early to a warm “Dumela” and enjoy a quick coffee, tea, and breakfast snack before setting out on an early morning game drive. Spend the day transferring through Moremi, capturing stunning photographs and creating lasting memories. Return to Maun in the late afternoon/evening, where you’ll stay overnight in a comfortable midrange lodge with en-suite rooms.
DAY 8: DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
After breakfast, prepare for departure. A transfer to the airport will conclude your unforgettable safari experience.
